Another douche bag who wants to be president
on the cover of my local paper. This guy is horrible as a senator, but like other douche bags, he seems to think that huge amounts of doucheitude (thanks, Moggie!) qualifies him to be president.

2. Rolling Stone did a great article on him awhile back
I forget how long ago, but it was within the past year, I believe. Brownback truly is scary. He's about as far right as they come, and would love nothing more than to turn America into a Christian theocracy.

3. each of the rw senators vying for the support of the religious right
has been severely humbled - Santorum, Allen and to a slightly lesser degree Frist. Guess it is now Brownback wan't to throw in the hat so that he can be the next religious extremist to be inline for an upcoming humiliation. Should be interesting to watch.

I would think that he would begin being a little cautious of being to farrightwacko, as the sentiments of voters in his homestate seem to be trending to rejecting the most extremist repubs.

Now we have the luxury of hindsight.
