Media Manipulation Of the Common Man (Direct TV)
Ever wonder why in past election cycles a large block of supposedly blue collar America has voted against their own interests.
I have; Made no sense to me then and even now I am unsure.
But I learned something that I thought I would share.
We get our TV through Dish Network.
We were paying 40 something a month and since we rarely watch TV we switched to the "affordable" Family-Pack package that they offer for one-half of that price.
I imagine a lot of people have done the same, particularly those who need to watch their spending habits.
Here is what I found interesting.
The package includes only a single news outlet ... that right, FAUX NEWS. Cnn, Cnbc, all of that is gone and the only view of the world one would get from watching this TV now is that of FAUX NEWS.
Interesting, huh? Might result in the shaping of a few minds, no?
Do cable carriers offer similar "affordable" packages?

2. I am a Dish network dealer...
The only reason, Faux is on that package, is that it WAS, rated the most watched station. The next package up, $29.99 has MSNBC and CNN on it. The family pack, was only designed for the most frequetly watched programming. To my knowledge no other has that type of package. I might add, that the ratings ARE because of corp entities..airports, hotel rooms, etc...support the RW agenda.

4. Still Scary to Imagine ...
I suppose it depends on your background but from where I come from it is not hard for me to imagine entire neighborhoods making their "entertainment" decisions based entirely upon cost (the 2 america theme is reality based).
That said, the concept of having ALL of these people exposed completly to pure propoganda without alternative is ... hmm, convienient?

5. Not here. My son has that $29.99 package and no MSNBC. He likes to watch Keith but can't afford
the next package up that includes MSNBC.

6. Odd ...
I'm on the Top 60 + package and only receive CNN & CNBC for commercial news channels. No Faux, no MSNBC.

Go figure.
