Obama gets another endorsement

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice gushed yesterday that Sen. Barack Obama is an "extraordinary person" and said it won't be long before the nation gets its first black president.

Sounding like she had come down with a severe case of Obama-mania, Rice affectionately referred to the Democratic senator - a Foreign Relations Committee member - as a member of "my committee," since she frequently testifies there.

From the sound of it, Rice was speaking to race issues more than anything else. I certainly didn't read anything in the article that indicated an endorsement.

Hell, Biden pretty much said (in his own foot-in-mouth way) that Obama is an extraordinary person. Is he endorsing Obama, too? :rofl:

She was just geniunely excited as an African American by the option of another African American being President!! Hell, I know if a gay Republican (like THAT would happen--Gay GOPer getting nomination LOL) was a serious contender, I'd be excited by that. It shows that America is moving in the right direction when it comes to racism that Barack Obama can be a major candidate and possibly the next President!!

And just because she said some nice things about Senator Obama, doesn't mean she is "gushing" like the media is reporting it. It's NOT an endorsement either. How can you NOT say something good about Obama? Republican or Democrat, Barack is an extraordinary person!!

because I like Hillary, too. But maybe for once, Condi was being sincere in welcoming another person of color onto the national stage, which would be admirable.
