4. I like the fact that he explains things in real terms

he doesn't seem to be restrained by the talking points which lace the standard ideological arguments of the right and the left on these national security issues. He said where he agreed with the administration and he spelled out where and why he differed.

On NK, for example, he says that Bush did the right thing when he finally agreed to talk to them and achieved an agreement of sorts in the process.

Richardson stressed his experience and Matthews higlighted that experience by noting the rogues the guv has dealt with face to face over the years. Matthews put him in the top 5 and spoke encouragingly about his chances.

6. I like that he asked Richardson about Hillary's tagging unnamed fellow Dems of being soft on terror.

This is what Hillary said last Monday in South Carolina--which has been pretty much ignored by the main stream media...

“To underscore a point, some people may be running who tell you we don’t face a real threat from terrorism,” she said. “I’m not one of them. We have serious enemies who want to do us serious harm.”

He is very, very smart. He is great extemporaneously and sounds like he really knows what he is doing.
