Rudy Guiliani.

Rudy Guiliani will not win the presidency. He is not a finisher. He did NOT do a damn thing on 9-11. In fact, he *%$)^ed everything up by his stupid insistance that the command center of NYC be at the WTC.

He has exploited 9-11 for as much $$ gain as Haliburton has the Iraq War.

1. He was going to hold 9/11 donations to the city until March
Only a public outcry made him change his mind. That wipes out any good he did on 9/11.

2. Oh sure; a couple of weeks ago he said "This country wants a little fascism"
in reference to Giuliani's "cleaning up" New York.:puke:

5. Matthews was into "Big Dick" Politics Tonight ...Giuliani a HERO
..."a street cop who stood tall on 9/11" (according to Matthews).

Matthews is now reporting that Rudi is a "Street Cop" and he had his "guests" staring at him like he was from ...well.......WAYYYYYYYY OUT THERE!

OMG...Tweety got off his Meds tonight!

6. What is just as bad is..
that Mike Barnacle and Chuck Todd repeated it, too. Tweety (thanks for the reminder) even said that he tried a neo-con strategy of cleaning up each street corner. The neo-cons don't give a fucking crap about crime prevention--with as many criminals as they have (Ney, Abramhoff, Cunningham, Safavian, Libby, etc etc etc.) I also guess Tweety forgot to mention that Rudy's right hand "crime-fightin" man was Berie Kerik-that freakin crook who is where? where? yepm the big house. They were going to name the fucking NYC jail after Kerik until he was sent there--so they couldn't name it after him. Imagine--"Kerik just incarcerated in the Bernard Kerik Penal Facility"

Rudy is slime.

9. Rudy might be "slime" but Matthews says he was a "Street Cop"
who "defended us on 9/11."

Who to believe....I don't know...it's so HARD to go against Tweety...he's smarter than me......sigh...

7. Bush didn't have what it takes, but media and RNC pulled him across. Giuliani will
be a much better debater, too, than some Dems realize at this point.

You have to wonder who the Democrats have currently running who will outdebate him - and the fact is the Dem will HAVE to outdebate him decisively, because the media will give Giuliani any debate that even looks close, as they did in 2000 with Bush.

8. They give credit for
"saving the people from 9/11" just like they do Reagan for "bringing down the Soviet Union" (as if what they have now isn't 100 times worse than the Soviet system). Two dipshits that have done nothing but help the rich, so the corporate news rewards them.

10. EXACTLY. The truth doesn't even matter anymore when the media is so complicit
in the overall tone of the campaigns.

11. That assumes he gets the nomination.
I'm not convinced that the hard righties will vote for someone as "liberal" on social issues as Guiliani.

15. The problem with righties is that they are full of shit - when push comes to shove they
will always vote for who they are told will be their winning candidate.

And THEIR party machine is strong enough to make sure it happens.

13. Yes, I think Giuliani has the makings of a very formidable
candidate for the repubs next year. He appeals to the emotional aspects of 9-11 for many Americans. He is a moderate to liberal on most social issues, which may be exactly what the repubs will need after eight years of Bushist fundamentalism. He is from New York, which might make it difficult for any Democrat to carry New York in the election, and I don't need to say that if Giuliani can put New York in the repub column it spells trouble for Democrats. He would still probably be less liberal than any potential Democrat running against him so he would still be able to carry the solid south. I hate to say this but I can see him looking very presidential in the campaign. I don't know who could best run against a Giuliani candidiacy, but I'd like some input.

12. The corporate media narrative is that he is the "hero" of 9/11.
Few American voters will bother to question whether the narrative is actually valid, and the corporate media will be guaranteed not to question it.
