"Thet're too inexperienced to be President!"
Edited on Sun Mar-25-07 01:14 AM by ih8thegop

8 years as a state Senator, in his first term as a US Senator

One term in the Senate

Only served four years as Governor, plus a few years as a state Senator and assistant Navy Secretary

Only served two years in elected office, as a Congressman

SO DON'T YOU TELL ME THAT EDWARDS AND OBAMA ARE TOO INEXPERIENCED!!

1. Don't forget Bush the Lesser in there.
What was he? Six years as 'guvner' of Texas? Something like that?

2. FDR and Lincoln were less experienced than Bush.

Don't even think about comparing Bush to either of them.

6. And the other are more. And the GOP is whining about 'experience'
Exactly my point.

Bush in 2000 was inexperienced, inadequate, rather unintelligent, and willfully ignorant. Six years later, that is still true.

The others only had the 'inexperienced' part, and they learned quickly during their service.

8. No problem.
I'll support Bush like I'll support a hole in my head.

3. Only Democrats are required to have experience to be president
Republicans can just get away with promising to "appoint good advisors" and to "delegate authority to good people".

Sound familiar?

4. Experience in elected office has NO relation the quality of a Presidential candidate.
It's their life experience and character that counts.

9. Democrats tend to make the most of the experiences they have, while
Republicans tend to use their office for personal gain, or the gain of their friends.

Public service is an understanding of one's obligation to others. Democrats -- including John Edwards and Barack Obama -- learned this early and have never looked back.

I'd be absolutely delighted if either one became our president.

11. And what happened when Lincoln was elected?
We had a civil war, that's what. Is that what you want?
