Sonja Henie's tutu! The Dallas Morning News is calling for Gonzo's resignation.
Editorial in the Friday paper:

Resign, Mr. Gonzales: Restoring public confidence no longer possible

08:22 AM CDT on Friday, March 30, 2007

Given that the attorney general's word has been contradicted by both an official document and by his former top aide, and considering the cavalcade of changing stories marched in succession out of the Justice Department in recent weeks, it is impossible to see how Mr. Gonzales can continue to credibly lead the department.
-----
We recognize that politics inevitably intrudes on the appointment of U.S. attorneys and that a gray area exists between politics and policy in the conduct of their official responsibilities.

But Mr. Sampson's testimony, as well as the released documents, leads us to conclude that Mr. Gonzales' circle operated as if there was no line at all. Mr. Gonzales' refusal to erect any sort of firewall between the White House and the Justice Department is an inexcusable breach of professionalism.

Here's the saddest part of all:

"I will no longer represent only the White House. I will represent the United States of America and its people. I understand the difference between the two roles," the former White House counsel told senators at his confirmation hearing in early 2005. We believed him. Sadly, he has proven our confidence misplaced.

1. Sad? Hardly sad at all.
This is what was expected of a former Enron lawyer. People tried to warn, but were ignored.

2. Well, not sad in the sense that I'm shedding tears for them,
but sad in a pathetic way. True Republican believers who should have known better are finally forced to admit how wrong they were.

:)
Schadenfreude.
