Poll question: Impeachment - When?
It's looking to me like the tipping points been reached here. When will The Chimperor be able to go back to his beloved clearin' of brush full time?

5. End of May
Congress dare not take a summer recess anyway, so they might as well make themselves useful....

You gotta believe, people! Because the alternative is Civil War.

...because W -- or at least the people behind him -- has all the power. They own the media, they own the corporations that have been raking in billions of dollars in increased profits due to his business-friendly-and-damn-the-rest legislative agenda.

He'd have to get caught having sex with a 10-year-old boy on camera to get impeached, and then it'd be a squeaker.

It really just comes down to: the People aren't pissed enough yet to run rough-shod over the bastards with the reigns. And until they are, Dumb-ya is in office for his full term.

We'll be lucky if he doesn't launch us into some full blown war with the entire Middle East that gives him some reason to declare himself king.

9. Why would you want to impeach Bush right now?
While he is still president and has his hands tied by the Democrat majority congress, he will be the Democrat's biggest asset leading up to the 2008 elections. If you get rid of Bush right now, they will replace him with Cheney and then install another VP.

Leave it until after the elections and then throw the book at both Bush and Cheney, charging them with every war crime known to man.

10. And If He, Oh, Nukes Iran
Will you feel pretty good about that too?

He's crazy, stupid, and evil, and wields a lot of power - not a good recipe if you ask me...

11. I dont claim to know a lot about your political system
but...wouldnt he have to get majority vote from congress to nuke Iran? I was under the impression that the only power he has left is power of veto. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, I wont be offended.

13. No - He Can Nuke Iran (or Oz) Without Any Consultation
He just gives the word, and the nukes are loose.

This is one of the reasons he needs to go ASAP.

14. Even if you manage to get rid of Bush
you will still be left with the architect of the Iraq fiasco. Cheney is the puppet master. I know Bush is a very dangerous man, but by just getting rid of him you are only cutting off one diseased branch. For Nancy Pelosi to step up to the plate to govern, both Bush and Cheney would have to be gotten rid off at the same time, otherwise the republicans would find their own replacements as each office is vacated. The problem is, the republicans just might find someone who is reasonably well thought off as a replacement and scrape in again at the next election.

Iran is a major issue. Even Bush wouldn't be so stupid as to nuking a country so as to teach it and the world how bad it is to make nuclear weapons. He has already lost Blair's support. Howard is wearing Bush around his neck like a stinking carcus leading up to our elections later this year. Last, but not least, Bush hasn't got any military left. he's already stretched it to the limits.
