or those who have died in the service of their country in Afghanistan. Are our heroes in Iraq or Afghanistan any less worthy of Bush's presence at their memorial services?

1. Come on, what did soldiers fighting for our nation do to deserve a presence by *?
:sarcasm:

(george can't relate to that because he was awol. however, he CAN relate to a college campus--those were his best stoner/drinking/cheer leading days!)

4. You know, this is the ONLY valid comparison of the tragedy of
yesterday and the tragedy that is Iraq. This does not minimalize the deaths of anyone, Iraqi or VT student. It does, however, put Smirk's opportunism in perspective like nothing else could.

5. Really now
Would you want him at your funeral? I swear to God if for any reason he were to show up at my funeral my spirit would whisper in his ear "I know who you are and I know what you've done. Get out." :(

7. Rosie pointed out this am that it took Bush a week to
get to N.O. but one day to get to VT. It is no wonder the right hates her and want to take her down.

She also talked about her 5 year obsession with trying to get this country to adopt sane gun laws and how it was a totally wasted effort - she said several times that the NRA is too strong and the laws will never change and she has given up.

8. flpoljunkie, flpoljunkie, flpoljunkie ...
you are failing to take into consideration the difference between a "good" photo op and a bad one.

Funerals for victims of our Iraq Invasion make BAD photo ops, reminding the public of the illegal and immoral war.

Victims of random acts of violence which aren't easily traced back to the White House make GOOD photo ops, reflecting glory on our Great Leader by highlighting his compassion.

Just remember, there's no business like show business, unless it's Karl Rove mounting a sleazy propaganda campaign.
