I'm looking for an up to date equivalent of "Culture Wars"by James Davison Hunter:
The exact title of the book is "Culture Wars: The Struggle to Define America"by James Davison Hunter. It was written in 1991.

The book explores the culture wars by evaluating the philosophical and cultural grounding of the "orthodox" and the "progressives" and it really helps one to understand the core of issues and feelings from the perspective of each group.

It also gets into specific areas of the culture wars: abortion, pornography and censorship, prayer in schools, science teaching in school (i.e., evolution), etc.

It talks about the main players and their power structures and the tactics that the different groups use to influence the directions of an issue.

It also does an analysis of what group has the long term edge (no surprise, the long term edge goes to progressives as it historically always has).

It fails to look at the tool of the Internet as it didn't yet exist.

Anyway I'm looking for an up to day book that is similar (not a new edition of this book).
