A Slew Of People Who Say "I Will Never Vote For X"
Edited on Fri Aug-17-07 08:32 PM by ruggerson
will change their mind by election day.

November, 2008 is a long way off.

A lot of folks who are passionate in the primary season end up rallying around our nominee.

So, those who say they will NEVER vote for Edwards, Clinton or Obama, or whomever, may, over time, realize that it benefits us all to vote for the Democrat.

Not all of them will change their mind.

But, I would bet that most will come home on election day.

Saving our country and the world is just too damn important.

4. Why not just play it safe and not nominate a DLC candidate?
They're the only ones I see attracting that kind of hatred.

potential Democratic nominee who I will not vote for, the others are on a continuum in my feelings, but I'll vote for any of them.

They are fucking stupid and can't see the big picture. Anyone who thinks that a Republican will be better than anyone of our democratic candidates is a fucking MORAN!

14. Yes, but we have to try to get the best one out there
Let's not vote on a single issue, hair style, cool joke or political slogan. I want someone in there who can lead our country
not a cheerleader for greedy and dishonest corporate interests.

17. I dutifully voted for a slew of democratic losers in the past....
McGovern, Dukakis, Mondale, even Kerry (I know, he really won)..... and I'm tired of waking up on the day after the election and feeling like I was kicked in the gut. How about we all get behind a candidate that we can actually support this time? Someone who we can enthusiastically work for and who actually inspires people to get out there and vote?

20. But they will NOT work for X....
A vote is one small step. For whom will they donate money, walk the streets to register voters and deliver material and talk to neighbors and strangers? For whom will they fight the corporate media lies? Who will inspire them to dedicate the next 8 years of their lives to community, nation, and world?

The issue is deeper than who will vote for X...

Peace.

25. I think so
The early barrage of Loyalty Oath threads do tend to cause animosity and friction. I wish supporters of HRC (or any other candidate) would stop demanding loyalty this early on in the season. From my experience, all it does is make people pissed off and say they won't vote for her just to annoy certain people here.
