WHAT: MoveOn Anti-War Vigil: Our President Lies, Humanity Dies
Peace!]
MEETING PLACE: The North-East Corner of the Bellevue Downtown Park, opposite
the Bellevue Square parking garage on NE 4th St. This is 100 yards west of
the corner of NE 4th St & Bellevue Way in downtown Bellevue. Park at the
mall!

WHEN: 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. (please note: the NE corner of Bellevue Park is
our meeting location, we are most likely to relocate to Bellevue Way for the
actual vigil. We would like to be as visible as possible)

Coordination Meeting: If possible, please arrive at the same meeting
location: the NE Corner of the Bellevue Downtown Park AT 12 NOON. We will
conduct a site survey and also enjoy a PICNIC LUNCH. Bring some food! For
those who are in a hurry there is a SAFEWAY at the corner and several
sandwich shops nearby.

THEME: We will hold a solemn vigil. Wear dark clothing, bring signs that
emphasize the toll of war and be prepared to look serious. (if you happen to
have "prison orange" costuming, this is also very welcome, it will be a
theme of the larger demo). Theme Variance: for those of you who liked my
earlier comment about Informality: Come As You Like, we are a democratic &
inclusive community!

NEEDS: SPEAKERS! Do we have volunteers who can intone the names of the
dead?

CONTEXT: This is going to be a large demonstration where dozens of groups
will come together in a collective endeavor. There will be no central
coordination and "spontaneity" will prevail. Our group will be committed to
creating a safe environment for people of all ages to register their
opposition to the endless, mindless Bush war.

This activity is being coordinated by Bellevue MoveOn supporters, we are not
using a mass communication email system. If you would like to boost

As you are probably aware, Bush is coming to Bellevue for a fundraiser for
Dave Reichert on Monday. Of course there will be demonstrations against
this visit.

Protesters will hold a rally at 12:30p.m. at the Bradford Center, 700 108th
Avenue N.E. At 2p.m., they will walk two blocks to Northeast Eighth Street
and Bellevue Way, just outside the Hyatt. It is estimated Bush will arrive
at the fundraiser at the Hyatt Regency Bellevue around 4: 25p.m. Let your

What: Spontaneous outpouring of citizens gather to protest Bush, call for

As many of you have doubtless heard, Karen Marchioro is now gravely ill.
Many weeks ago, she was one of the first to learn that Bush would be coming
to Bellevue. She had the original idea that our district, along with anyone
wishing to join in, should protest his grotesque priorities by holding a
protest party at Jay Pearson's condo clubhouse. She even arranged for
Senator Eric Oemig to join us to speak about his impeachment resolution.
Unfortunately, she was unable to follow through on this idea, so Nancy
Rising, Jay Pearson, Di Irons, Becky Lewis, and I have tried to fulfill her
great vision of fellowship. Please join us at this event -- it would mean a
lot to Jeff and Karen to know that they succeeded once again in bringing us
together to send an important message of peace and accountability. I have
