I can't believe some people actually feared this idiot.

2. Unless the game is rigged..
And it's was massively rigged in 2000 and 2004. Why would 2008 be different?

3. Never say never.
The far right wing Republicans are looking for a savior and Thompson may be it. This does not guarantee that he will win but it makes him a strong opponent.

4. His campaign is going to ...
be compared with Britney Britney's come back.

Embarrassing for everyone involved.

Cheers

5. I lack your optimism.
He's an intellectually-lazy faux cowboy, disrespected by his peers, with a record of mediocrity and a standard GOP platform with no surprises.

See: 2000.
See: 2004.

6. The main difference is bush is a pretty energetic. Fred is worn out before he leaves the gate.

8. If you think Fred's "laid-back demeanor" is our best bet to prevent 2008 from being 2004,
well, again, I'm not going to cede the election to him, but I'm not going to say he doesn't have a chance.

10. didn't say that, just pointed out there's a big difference in the ability of
the two men to perform to right wing requirements - catapulting talking points 24/7.

bush stays on point and has the physical stamina to be out there working from his very simple script.

Thompson is already not showing well in person, in Iowa this weekend. He rambled, was vague and confusing in his presentation. His acting experience should give him an edge in memorizing the right wing script and staying on point, kind of like another former actor, Ronnie Reagan. So far, it does not appear to be working.

9. He's got the republican candidates treading water
I don't know why, even bush ass kisser McCain would be a better president than the republicans baby Huey candidate.
