The forgotten terrorist attack on American soil post 9/11
Anthrax.

Why does no one anywhere have any interest whatsoever in solving this?

This terrorist(s) penetrated the American postal system and killed media people and innocent bystanders and threatened elected politicians.

Why the disinterest? Where are the hearings? What is the status? Why no media follow-up? Why the memory hole?

1. Because it was the right wing that attempted to assassinate Democratic

US Senators and other liberals. It was done in support of the right wing revolution of 2000 so it was OK. They know full well who was behind the Anthrax attacks. If they could figure out Eric Rudolph was the Olympics bomber, they damn sure know who did the Anthrax.

13. They didn't get control of the senate at the ballot box, so they
used the Anthrax instead.

2. Leahy hasn't forgotten.
It disgusts me to know they used such a horror to blackmail for their bullshit. Leahy and Daschle were both balking at signing the "Enabling, er, the "Patriot Act", iirc.

They apparently got the message.

Hopefully Pat still feels he has a score to settle. He sure can get pissed at times, I love it!

7. Daschle still has some interest here.
I hope he is acting on it.

I wouldn't rest until I saw them pay.

I don't take threats and blackmail very well, and hope they won't let it rest either.

Let's hear it for cajones!!

4. From what I understand there have been many RW terrorist
attacks in the US in the past 6 years. They get no press because they are not what the MSM is looking for. Here is an old reference:

8. The non-tinfoil response:
Because it stopped, and we had no leads to go on. It was embarrassing, so the government didn't want to bring it up. Since the problem went away on its own (and, not having any compelling visuals, did not lend itself to media revisiting) the public quickly forgot, and didn't press for action.

9. Because it came from a US Army Base
What does that say?

"The perpetrator of the 2001 anthrax attack on Congress likely was a government scientist employed at the Army’s Ft. Detrick, Md., bioterrorism lab having access to a “moonsuit” that made it possible to safely process and manufacture super-weapons-grade anthrax, a bioterrorism authority says."

10. Probably because the FBI looked foolish for naming a suspect
without having sufficient proof he was responsible.
