6. Your pusing the "breakthrough" is in keeping with the Meet The Press on 9/30

MR. BUCHANAN: But, Dan, if, if, if Edwards, let’s say he wins Iowa, which obviously he could do. If he wins Iowa, he can’t beat Hillary Rodham Clinton in a national contest, I don’t think. He’s going to have to take matching funds. I don’t think he’s, he’s a national candidate. And that sort of eclipses Obama, who, as Tim said, can break away and win this. He’s got the in—the national image, he’s got the money. I don’t think Edwards can do it. So if Hillary’s going to lose, she wants to lose to Edwards.

You will notice its the Hillary DUers who are first to push this. Its definitely good news, but the Hillary supporters enthusiasm about this is easy to understand.

12. Its an earth shattering observation that it is preferrable for Hillary to lose to Edwards in IA....
...should she lose?

With Edwards near non existence in NH, acceptance of pub financing and Obama doing heavy campaign work in NH and SC in addition to his enormous warchest, dealing with a victorious Edwards in IA vs a victorious Obama (should Hillary not win)is a no brainer.

11. We hardly know him.
He began running for the presidency in early 2000 - only a year and a half after he won his first election.

10. Slow but encouraging trend in NC
According to the site that poll came from, www.pubolicpolicypolling.com, last month the numbers were Clinton - 30%, Edwards -28%, Obama - 21%.

Although it would be better to have more than two months' worth of data to see if it really is a trend or just slight random movements.

14. IMO, Democratic volunteerism generally and DU especially are at their best
when someone posts like this.

Class act, start to finish.

And I love the Madison quotation in your sig line, too.

Thank you, SaveElmer.
