Kerry rep is saying Edwards is not the 2nd candidate + DK has been better
I am watching Insanity and colmes. There were Kerry and Edwards reps on. The Kerry guy is saying that Edwards has finished behind Kucinich and Sharpton in some contests and doesn't deserve a 1 on 1 debate.

Insanity asked him who was 2nd and he said he didn't know. I promise you this, if Kerry ducks debates, I do not vote or volunteer for him in the primary at all. I am currently undecided.

1. Sounds like
they don't want one-on-one with Edwards - yet.

2. Whoa, is Kerry ducking Edwards?
Interesting.

I thought I heard a Kerry rep ducking the question of a debate with Edwards earlier tonight on Anderson Cooper's 360 show. Afterwards, I decided maybe I misunderstood.

That guy, as well, wouldn't answer a simple yes or no question about perhaps Kerry debating Edwards one-on-one. He hemmed and hawed and stepped all around it. Then said "It's not up to Kerry."

WTF?

3. Uh, oh. If they try that on Edwards, it will backfire.

4. Hannity is a big idiot.
Everyday he thinks of something more idiotic to say.

5. well, a one-on-one wouldn't include Kucinich and Sharpton
and i think any debate should include them.

if he 'ducks out' for that reason, that is admirable

8. It's not admirable
It's a lame excuse. You think Kerry cares about Kucinich and Sharpton? Why did he want the 1 on 1 with Dean?

i dunno. maybe you're right. i'm cool with Kerry, but i'm standing with Kucinich.

i hope many flock to his campaign soon.

10. No that's not what the Kerry rep said.
He didn't seem to be all that concerned about DK or AS and the exlusion of them. I think the question was something like "If it comes down to a 2 man race, will Kerry debate Edwards one-on-one?"

The Kerry rep had a deer-in-headlights look.

Maybe the question came out of left field for him or something.

6. yes
I saw this coming. Kerry would prefer to get out of debates altoghether. This is why I think LA debate will have all four, but no more debates will occur thereafter.

14. What's the upside for Kerry?
(1) he'd make DK and AS supporters pissed by agreeing to shut them out.
(2) he'd elevate Edward's status which is not a motivating reason.

But don't think Kerry can't hold his own in debates. He is a damn good debater.....his debates with William Weld a few years back prove that out.

7. The corporate media is trying to push a showdown
between Kerry and Edwards (where I'm sure they'd try their hardest to trash Kerry and build up Edwards).

16. Did Edwards Challenge Kerry To A 1-On-1 ? If Not Then This Is BS
who the fuck cares if Hannity asked Kerry's representative.

Let's see...

Kerry challenged Dean
Dean challenged Kerry

Edwards hasn't challenged Kerry.

No story...

17. how is he ducking?
DK and Sharpton SHOULD be in any debates so long as they are in the race.

The only one on one debates that will count are those between W. and the Democratic nominee.
