Don't rule out Cheney running with Mitt or Rudy. Remember the VP will not be
known until the conventions, their convention is after ours. They are also next summer close to the election. They also need to pull off a stop the presses news buzz.

Before you all start screaming, "they will never do that". They will do that if they have to. They need to show they are tough and they are not afraid to make unpopular choices, to protect our oil.

Also there no term limits on this VP from running again. Please prepare for this and stop giving the GOP ammo to use against us.

1. I'd be delighted if they did, but it will never happen.
Cheney is the most disapproved of politician in America.

7. Only on DU do you hear or see anything negative. I think 30% of the population
would be hard pressed to name the VP if asked. A Mitt/Cheney ticket would be nightmare.

2. Don't rule out Mitt or Rudy running as Cheney's VP either.
It is not to late for Dick to mount that white horse and ride to the rescue of Planet Earth,
to do his duty and save us all from evil by running for Pres. How can he not run?
He is just waiting until the last minute to avoid the negatives being given longer attention.

They made Thompson run just to make Dick look young and smart. So, it seems a go to me!

8. I've thought about that but his MO seems to be behind the scenes. But
their convention maybe wide open and I don't rule that out.

9. That might even be better, Dick could stay out sight and still run his Black Op's.
I just hear her speak on NPR. She can really handle an audience and I will move her onto my list along with J Roberts and Melinda Gates.

But don't be surprised if Cheney gets some odd obscure appointment that allows him to still have a hand in things.

15. More like
Jeb as VP, I'm afraid. Jeb's the "smart" one, and an original PNAC signatory, so their agenda will still continue with or without Cheney. Cheney, though, would probably still have a role behind the scenes, which seems to be what he already does anyhow. Look how many members of this administration are recycled criminals from Nixon, Reagan and Poppy. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

18. We need another Tyrannt in office.
From Nixon to Fred Thompson. "They are not all Crooks" Yea Right

I'll tell you I would not vote for another republiklan as long as I live but Fred Thompson sure brings back memories of DieHard and other action packed movies.

We need the current cabinet and Fred (A new "Great Communicator" to replace Reagan")in order to continue on our path to global domination, that is before China comes over and collects all the land that we own for our debts to the Red Menace.

We conquer the world and then China Forecloses. I Like it!

outpouring of displeasure with Cheney. On the RW circuit he is the most wanted speaker and fund raiser. I know he is evil, you know he is evil, DU knows he is evil, but I don't think the general public even knows he is the VP.

check the public polls.

And I thought you believed (inexplicably) that Melinda Gates was going to be the republican VP nominee?

Huckabee will be the Veep choice. A Southern Governor is a must on a New England ticket.

Also, didn't Cheney just purchase a fine retirement home with his Halliburton Happy bucks in quaint St. Michael's MD ?

31. Is that constitutional?
Not that it matters, of course, to this bunch -- but aren't vice presidential terms limited like presidential terms? In other words, if he's not running for president, can he run for vice president again? This doesn't seem right.
