and she was saying that she couldn't vote for Obama because he was so inexperienced. She further said that she was not swayed by Oprah's endorsement. At work I'm careful not to talk too much about politics, but she overheard me on the phone confirming a campaign meeting Thursday evening. She approached me and told me that she had decided to vote for Hillary and her reasons were basically the same as I hear from most people who lean her way: experience and that they like the way that she has handled herself in the senate. Some also mention Bill, but not all. Around here Hillary is not a tough sell, she's by far the most popular Dem. in the race. Among the Dems. the most reviled Repug is definitely Giuliani, not a surprise considering how many of us lived through his mini dictatorship. Prior to 9/11 Rudy couldn't have gotten elected dog catcher and look at him now, the possible Repug. nominee. It's enough to make anyone ill!!!!

The candidates themselves have to make the sale. Hillary is now back down to reality with about a hard base of 30-35% who would go with Hillary regardless. Barack is at 25% and holding for months.
