I can't wait for Hillary (and Bill) to leave American politics!
Her campaign and overall presentation reminds me of Tom Delay and Rick Santorum of American politics...Names I am so happy we don't have to talk about anymore.

I love Bill and I always will, I think he was the best President we've had in a generation...IMO. But, he can get more done away from politics, similar to Carter's efforts on a host of issues.

1. Well why don't you move to another country
that way you won't be bothered. On the other hand I think they are the best thing to happen to this country in the last 30 years. Go figure. There are lots and lots and lots of people who think like I do....sorry to say the surge for Obama won't last very long. He'll be forgotten in 5 or 6 years. Unless Oprah makes him a fixture on her show.

4. I expected Bill to be an open government Dem when he took office - instead we
ended up with Bush2, 9-11, and this Iraq war as direct results of Bill Clinton siding with Poppy bUsh and protecting his secrecy and privilege over the rights of the citizens to open government accountable to the people.

Truth matters. The long run has already PROVED that truth matters. Who wants to continue protecting BushInc?

31. Bill Clinton was "Bush II" you claim?
Edited on Mon Dec-17-07 09:56 AM by niceypoo
Reeeally? Lets see what Bill Clinton accomplished, then you list what Bush accomplished, OK?

Abolished Restrictions on Medical Research and the Right to Choose.
Helped States Take the First Steps Toward Welfare Reform.
Family and Medical Leave Act.
"Reinventing Government" Initiative Launched with Al Gore.
New Childhood Immunization programs.
Clinton-Gore Deficit Reduction Plan Enacted.
Earned Income Tax Credit Expansion/Working Family Tax Cut.
Student Loan Reform
Empowerment Zone/Enterprise Communities Program
AmeriCorps Community Service Initiative
Brady Act Signed
Goals 2000 Education Standards Enacted
Head Start Reform and Creation of Early Head Start
Crime Bill Signed
Assault Weapons Ban
100,000 Community Police Officers
Violence Against Women Act
Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) Fund Created
Improving America’s Schools Act
Federal Child Support Enforcement Expanded
Executive Order Preventing Permanent Striker Replacement Issued
Religious Freedom in Schools Protected
Dayton Peace Accords Signed
National Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy
Most New Jobs Ever Created Under a Single Administration 22.5m in 8 years
Unemployment at Its Lowest Level in More than 30 Years(without merely fudging numbers, as your hero Bush does)
Lowest Inflation since the 1960s
7 Million Fewer Americans Living in Poverty
As a result of the tough and sometimes unpopular choices made by President Clinton, and major deficit reduction legislation passed in 1993 and 1997, gave us eight consecutive years of fiscal improvement for the first time in America’s history
Largest Surplus Ever
Largest Three-Year Debt Pay-Down Ever
Lowered Federal Government Spending
Reduced Interest Payments on the Debt
Enacted the 1993 Deficit Reduction Plan without a Single Republican Vote
Negotiated the Balanced Budget Agreement of 1997
Dedicated the Surplus to Save Social Security and Reduce the National Debt.
Extended Medicare Solvency from 1999 to 2025

And on, and on, and on....this is about 1/3 of his accomplishments.

Now its your turn. Since you claim that Bill Clinton was, "Bush II," its your turn to post 1/3 of Bushes record so that we can see the similarities that you are talking about.

Apparently you cant see the forrest through your irrational hate of Hillary (which you shared with your lurker allies).

of government by the end of 1993.

I know all the 'good' things that happened, but how QUICKLY did they all disappear when Bush2 took over? A year?

What lasting good came of Bill's actions and what lasting HARM came from his actions in protecting the secrecy and privilege of Bush1?

19. Usually the ones that stay around for a long time are the...
Edited on Sun Dec-16-07 08:15 PM by superkia
corrupt and powerful ones, the politicians that try to do the right thing always seem to be either weeded out of politics or just thrown in the black hole of the media and Americans never really even know they exist. I believe you are right about people thinking like you but most of them are the sheep that use the word electable when they talk about picking a candidate which is exactly what the MSM has been throwing around for awhile now and the sheep cant see reality. If Donald Duck were running and was the best candidate for us, if the American people vote for him...he wins and obviously is electable. Any other way of voting is just stupid, vote for the candidate that speaks for the people and actually is doing something, not the ones that tell us what we want to hear and then just give just enoug h to look good and to shut us up.

With Bill Clinton, he really didn't do anything that helped my life but I did think he was a smooth talking guy. He did give us NAFTA...great one Bill, hopefully Hillary can give us the North American Union so we can get rid of more jobs and do away with the constitution.

If you are a supporter of the Clintons, do you have any information about what they did when they attended the Bilderberg groups meetings? I just heard about the Bilderberg group this year and would love to hear more information on it. Hopefully one day in America there wont be as many people like you that support the candidates that support the wealthy and elite and will start supporting candidates that represent our children...hopefully?

Remember Bush and the government are not at fault for the destruction of our country, it is the sheeple that continue to help them work towards their agendas not the peoples. Too many people shit on Bush when its not him, he is just the puppet for now. My guess is that our next president will be Giuliani, Clinton or martial law because they are puppets to the corrupt system and they cant allow a decent person in office because if they assassinate them, the American sheeple may wake up from their brainwashing...who knows?

30. Best thing? Bill Clinton allowed the traitors to go uninvestigated/indicted. We're watching as those
Edited on Mon Dec-17-07 09:38 AM by cryingshame
traitors destroy our country.

Bill Clinton presided over the collapse of the Democratic Party.

He and McCauliffe did NOTHING for Democrats except shrink it the size the NeoCons and DLC could drown it in the bathtub.

We're just lucky the NeoCons and DLC have done such a crappy job. MAYBE we can rebuild the Progressive movement.

I have a strong distaste for DU'ers who abuse "DLC" and make it a stand in for poopiehead. That said, the DLC and Clinton strategy is regressive and corrupt.

5. lol. you are well named Mr. Nimrod
Edited on Sun Dec-16-07 02:37 PM by cali
nim·rod (nmrd)
n.
1. also Nimrod A hunter.
2. Informal A person regarded as silly, foolish, or stupid.

I refer of course, to the 2nd definition.

Comparing HRC to Delay and Santorum is just what a nimrod would do.

And you're gonna have to wait a long time before either of them are gone from the American scene. In fact, you may have to live with them in the White House again. Let me give you one more clue: Carter is deeply involved in politics.

6. I would like to see some new thinkers also.
It is always time to move on to the next step. We can drag along some of the good old stuff but life needs changes and new thinkers. I sort of like Edwards but Obama seems to fill me with thoughts that he is the new thinker. Frankly Bush came out of the 1880 I think and Clinton is sort of new, as Bill is, but still I feel it is time to move on and they are a little stale. It is not that I did not think Bill did well in the 90's but still times moves on. I also think he really messed up on the stuff to do with NAFTA for the Am. worker and it did not do so well for the cheap labor around the world. I think their must have been a better way even if I do not know what. They are the guns with the brains and they should have been watching out for the workers every place and they did not.
