Obama Giving Away Indicted Donor Cash
(Springfield, Illinois) Barack Obama is getting rid of an old $5,000 campaign donation that was given to him by an Illinois businessman who was indicted this week.

The money was donated to Obama's U.S. Senate campaign in 2003 by Abdelhamid "Al" Chaib of LaGrange Park, Ill. Chaib was indicted Thursday on federal charges of taking part in a scheme to fraudulently obtain a $3.4 million loan.

"In light of this week's news reports, we felt more comfortable donating those contributions to charity," Obama spokesman Ben LaBolt said Friday.

The Democratic presidential candidate's campaign is dividing the money between two cancer charities, Little Heroes and the Lynn Sage Cancer Foundation.

1. That was the right thing to do.
The donor gives money to most any Democrat so its not surprising that Obama had some as well.

3. But but when Hillary gave back the 500,000 dollars the crooked
fundraiser had made for her,,,she is still getting flamed and bashed and slurred because of it...suppose Obama will oh no..he will be considered noble, 2,000 compared to 500,000. Seems like a big difference to me.

5. 5000 dollars can get lost in the shuffle.
500k, you notice, and you investigate before you claim it.

6. No offense...
...while it was a noble jest, it's not exactly a wallet-breaker. He still has roughly $20 million dollars circulating around his campaigns.
