Does Harry Reid have the cojones to kick Liar-berman off his
committees...seriously, apparently Joe can't caucus until 2009 when the new Senate comes in, so Dems won't lose the majority, so maybe it's time someone stood up and told Holy Joe to stop cutting us off at the knees, that we won't take it anymore, that we stand for something, that...

...oh, right, THAT Harry Reid.

1. There isn't one dem who would do it if he/she was
ML. That's simply the way it is. Boxer wouldn't. Feingold wouldn't. It's simply not the way the institution works. I'm not defending that; simply stating a fact.

4. Are you saying they wouldn't or couldn't?
You're probably right that they wouldn't...they seem to like him even though he stabs them in the back.

7. I also think the only reason they would loose the post is
something like Craig had done, or something unethical like Jefferson.

8. Remember, if that happens the republicans regain control
of the Senate. I say it is time for all of us in here irregardless of who we support for president we all make a firm committment to work as hard as we can to insure we elect more democrats to the Senate. I believe we stand a chance to at least pick up from 6 to 10 seats in 08 and when that happens maybe President elect Clinton will notify the senate majority leader to strip crazy joe of his chairmanships and tell him he now can go and vote with the losers....

Ben David

11. As far as I can tell the repubs have control now.
I'm sure Chimpy appreciates the money they gave him.

Now what did the people get? Oh yeah. Nothing.

15. Ours.
In one year, we passed bills increasing the minimum wage, veterans' benefits, ethics reforms, student loans, education funding, automobile efficiency standards, Katrina recovery efforts, and 9/11 commission reforms. That's more than most years get done, and we did it with a hostile Senate and President.

bills and the energy bill.

edit: The big test will be FISA. Let's see who amongst all 'our' reps stand by Senator Dodd.

17. And that's where 67-60-51 comes into play.
There are still 49 Republican Senators with a filibuster and 1 Republican President with a veto.

13. I'd heard they wouldn't lose control because you can caucus only
once..when the new Senate is sworn in...they can't lose control until 2008 at the earliest, assuming Repukes get more seats then, which they won't.
