Continuing the pattern of anyone but Hillary having to struggle in the Northeast...
Democratic Senator Hillary Clinton enjoys double-digit leads in the Garden State over leading GOP candidates Rudy Giuliani and Mike Huckabee. But while Senator Barack Obama also leads Huckabee, Obama is in a much tighter race with the former NYC mayor.
A new Rasmussen Reports telephone poll shows Clinton leading Giuliani 50% to 37%. She also leads former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee 51% to 34%. In October, Clinton had an eleven point advantage over Giuliani. Huckabee was not included in the October poll.
Obama leads Huckabee 49% to 30%. But his ability to command a virtually twenty-point lead over the GOP co-frontrunner doesn't translate to the match-up with Giuliani. Obama and the former Mayor of New York are virtually tied, with the Democrat holding a statistically insignificant 42% to 41% advantage.
Clinton is viewed favorably by 57%, of Gardent State voters, Obama by 56%, and Giuliani by 58%.Huckabee is viewed favorably by 44%, unfavorably by 43%
