So Will Obama & Edwards Capitalize On Bill's GHWB Traveling The Globe Comments.......
If change is what we are looking for - what kind of change is it if Bill & George Sr. are out there as the face of the U.S.A.?

George Sr. 4yrs + Bill C. 8yrs. + George Jr. 8yrs + HRC possibly 4 or 8 yrs.

Again domination of the U.S.A. by two families for 20 years now and could possibly be 24 or 28 if HRC gets the nod and re-nod.

So - "Where's the Change" - should be the new slogan of the Obama and/or Edwards campaigns. (kind of a play on "Where's the Beef")

And if the Hillary campaign - throws back "Where's the Beef" in their face insinuating lack of experience - throw it right back to Hillary - that the 'Beef' is that there will be no change if she wins - just another 4 to 8 years of the same.

1. Depends
Do Edwards and Obama just wanna win the Democratric primary?

Or do they also wish to win the general election.

4. So What's Your Point?......
Don't most Americans want change from the status quo and to end the gridlock in Congress?

How is pointing out that this country was dominated by two families now for 20 years and if HRC wins could be 24 to 28 years?

We'll just get recycled Clinton people back in power that currently are at odds with the recycled Bush people.

What's the old saying about - doing the same thing and expecting different results.

5. My point?
It's a stupid campaign line.

"Where's the Beef?" is not only about 25 years old --it was a Reagan line.

That --and you are overlooking the fact that most Republicans still think GHWB was a good President.

6. So By Bill Associating Hillary With GHWB - She'll Get Repug Votes?.......
Edited on Tue Dec-18-07 11:47 AM by global1
and notice - the slogan I suggested for Edwards and Obams is "Where's The Change". I simply posed that HRC's response might be -
"Where's the Beef".

7. You simplify the equation
But in a nutshell -- sure.

The change this country wants is to go back to when it perceived itself to be happy. After W's nightmare 2 term Presidency, most Americans want to roll back the clock to BEFORE W, they may say they want change, but unless that change is articulated and understandable, the average voter will prefer the idea of simply undoing the W Presidency.

Right or wrong, it's much easier to sell a change back to better times than it is to sell a change into the unknown.

Now go ahead an shoot the messenger <me>, but THAT is human nature.

11. I stand corrected
you are right.

Still -- a reference to a 25 year old commercial?

Why not just have Obama respond to Hillary's health care plan in a debate with

"Mama mia, thats'a spicy meatball"?

Although, I think these lastest moves by #42 are way beyond stupid.

12. Since Hillary said she would have Bill as her advisor and he lied again, it will hurt her badly.
When Bill said that he and George Bush Senior were going to go on a world tour next year, and then Bush41 denied it, it makes Bill look more like a liar than ever before.

Whether he knows it or not, he has lost any credibility he ever had by making statements that are so easily debunked.

Like when he said earlier this month that he had always been against the Iraq War from the very start and everyone went "huh? what the hell is he talking about?"
