Edited on Sat Dec-22-07 06:49 PM by Disturbed
If you feel that Sen. Reid should be replaced, who should his replacement be?

1. Dodd, if he doesn't win the nomination
Reid is a Vichy Democrat!

3. Dodd. He almost won it in 1996.
Feingold should be Obama's VP.

9. Great question. Let's have some discussion.
Leading to the selection of a new leader would involve skills like coalition building or attributes like seniority or accomplishments. Makes me wonder how the hell Reid got the job. Anyway. I don't think the presidential candidates can be considered as likely. I love Feingold for his earnest risk taking. I wonder if he would want the job. Barbara Boxer is about to have to fight to defend her seat against the Usurper/governor. That could divide her attention.

10. Sen Feingold is a great choice.
He has the courage of his convictions & was the only Senator who voted against the awful
Patriot Act. Patriot, indeed! More like the Neo Fascist Act. He moved to Censure Busholini & most of the cowards in the Dem Congress did not back him up on it. He voted against the IWR. This man is a rare individual in the Senate.

12. I voted Kerry
Kerry would be taken seriously by the public and the media (despite their immaturity). Kerry would be good at processes and procedures.

The other man I like is James Webb. He's a straight talking Senator with ass kicker written all over him.

16. Good poll, Disturbed, but how about doing another poll to replace Pelosi as Speaker
She should be replaced ASAP. Harry Reid hasn't been great, but compared to Pelosi, Harry Reid is a prince.

35. Pelosi knew about torture and rendition, but kept quiet
The reason Pelosi put impeachment off the table was to cover up her own complicity in Bush's crimes, as well as the enabling role of other key Democrats.

Pelosi should be challenged in the upcoming elections. Not only she shouldn't be Speaker, she shouldn't be in Congress!

As to the despicable Vichy Democrats DiFi and Schumer, they should be tarred and feathered!

26. Whitehouse doesn't have the knowledge and besides
he just voted against Feingold's amendment to pull out of Iraq. I like him a lot, but on FISA and Iraq, he's not solid.

23. Dodd
Feingold is easily my favorite senator but I don't see him as the type of hand-wringer that would fit the job as majority leader. He should be in a leadership position in the Senate but I don't quite see him as a Majority Leader type.

31. Dodd, based on recent performance.
Though I certainly would have no problem with Feingold or Boxer either. Probably any of those listed would be better than Reid.

33. Obama would be terrific
If he can stand up to Hillary, he can stand up to anybody. :)

This is a powerful position and he seems perfect for the job - if not president, at least in line for the job.
