Forgive me - I've just returned from dinner with champagne and wine and feeling despondent upon entering into a New Year without my husband (passed away in Oct.).
I've been sooooo looking forward to this year and now it is with mixed emotions.
I hate hate hate GWB and am glad to get this monkey off our backs. Who knows how long it will take for the next President(s) to *right the wrongs* by this (mis)Administration.
Now I feel a mixture of sadness and gladness.
Sigh . . .

but, honestly, Happy New Year to all of you.

yes - it has been a most difficult year - all things considered. but having this asshole as the leader of this nation has been the ultimate - even with my husband suffering with cancer. i used to say that i didn't wish that upon anyone - i must say with all honesty and anger that i would wish it upon the bush/cheney family - to join the human suffering with the rest of us. i know it's wrong - but i'm human and i just can't help it.

but to vote for who I considered best qualified and electable when the primaries hit New Jersey.
