2. Here Are The Actual Numbers
http://www.zogby.com/news/ReadNews.dbm?ID=1408

Zogby's, CNN;'s, and Insider Advantage's poll don't mean squat if DMR's model is right... On the other hand if the latter pollster's models are right DMR is going to look silly...

We shall see shortly...

5. If I Had To Bet I Would Bet Obama (1) Clinton (2) Edwards (3)
Edited on Tue Jan-01-08 10:03 AM by DemocratSinceBirth
Rightfully or wrongfully that will probably finish Edwards' campaign ...Hillary will be wounded...She will lose NH for sure...Hillary wins the uncontested primary in MI...With Edwards no longer a meaningful contender Hillary hold on to win the NV caucus...Obama wins the SC primary...Hillary wins the uncontested FL primary...

Then we get to Super Tuedsay when half the delegates will be chosen which is too soon to call...

on edit- if Hillary or Edwards win that changes my whole analysis...

8. Well- I Would Put My Money On Obama
But I never bet against my own team because I could never hope my team lost, even for pecuniary gain...

I expect this to be a two person race rather shortly...There will be lots of two person debates between now and Super Tuesday...We will learn much about the strengths and weaknesses of both candidates...

P.S. This is all predicated on a Hilary or Obama win...

4. This one gives it to Obama based on first time caucus-goers
But, as always, there's many a slip betwixt the cup and the lip....

http://www.desmoinesregister.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20071231/NEWS09/71231044/-1/caucus

Obama was the choice of 32 percent of likely Democratic caucusgoers, up from 28 percent in the Register's last poll in late November, while Clinton, a New York senator, held steady at 25 percent and Edwards, a former North Carolina senator, was virtually unchanged at 24 percent.

The poll reflects continued fluidity in the race even as the end of the yearlong campaign nears. Roughly a third of likely caucusgoers say they could be persuaded to choose someone else before Thursday evening. Six percent were undecided or uncommitted.

6. I don't buy it ML
and you know I don't support Edwards. I still think he'll win Iowa. He's attracting big enthusiastic crowds. He's the 2nd choice for many caucus goers. My money's on Edwards.

10. I second that.
I'm still hopeful that he will garner a lot of those undecideds and second-choice votes.
