Is it true, that Obama just isn't going to be able to beat the Establishment?
Outside of Durbin and Conrad, none of the US Senators have the backbone to go against the Clintons. Seriously, that in my opinion is very disturbing. And one I think all Democrats should be concerned about. Do the Clinton's have that much of a hold on the Party?

1. What makes you think he wants to "beat the establishment"?
As far as I can tell his goal is to become the establishment.

4. The Clinton Machine was schooled in dirty politics by their GOP adversaries.
And now they are twisting arms, calling in favors, and livid that Obama had the audacity to run for president and trying to hamstring him at every opportunity (Muslim, cocaine dealer, etc.).

Only time will tell how that plays out.

25. Had Clinton lost New Hampshire....that would have been
real interesting to see that whole kingdom melt before our very eyes....as people would be running out of there, with their tennis shoes on! LOL!

But of course, that couldn't happen. :(

That's alright! cause that "audacity" is coming in handy.
I think Obama supporters are ready to kick some ass.

We'll show them what "we the people" means.

By the time we are done, Barack will be able to call Bill anytime, IF he wants some advise.
It's not like Hillary is so much smarter than Barack. Her only advantage is that she just can get advise without getting up.

27. It's go-time.
We ARE the people and we've got all kinds of audacity ready for this contest. Obama has started a movement that is resonating across the country, and with open eyes and open hearts we will take this country back.

9. Jesus, he's starting to bug the hell out of me.
I want to support him because I think he'll be the stronger candidate, but today he says that New Hampshire showed that "change will always be resisted by the status quo." Obama, hon, those were *voters.* They have the right to choose candidates who have the audacity to be not-Barack, without being characterized as the truculent, sour "status quo." Hillary didn't cast the votes personally.

This "dreamers versus the dream-stompers" thing he's got going is really a masterpiece of passive-aggressive campaigncraft. I hate it. But whatever's necessary, I guess.

interesting.

I retired 12/31/07 - but that is the way it was before and on that day.

in that world - and esp. health ins co's - Hillary is feared and Obama considered no threat.

As to contrib's - you can note that all get money from employees of every industry.

15. Maybe there is some leverage at work
Trying to keep them in line, somewhat, by holding edorsements over their heads. I don't know if it's true. I haven't decided whether I'm pissed all these Senators are sitting on the sidelines, or at least glad they haven't fallen in line. There are a few who I will lose enormous respect for if they endorse the Clintons.

He knows why people left him in NH, and he knows how to fix it. Plus, its obvious that Clinton is going to have to rely on stunts to pull this thing out, which are going to wear thin by super tuesday.

Most Democratic Senators and Congressmen know that Obama cannot get elected so why waste the endorsement.
