Grow up. Good for Obama, good for Kerry
it was a coveted endorsement, and good for Obama for getting it. And Kerry has every right in the world to endorse whoever the hell he wants.

2. really?

Its smacks a bit of being set up just before New Hampshire when they thought it was a massive win for Obama and i think it looks dreadfully like a passing the torch coronation scene that was meant to set Obama for victory, it may not play very well amongst a lots of dems who have distaste from Kerry in 2004.

Personally i think its classless and crass, as the most recent Pres contender with his ex vp still in the race. I think he should have not endorsed until a winner was found.

He's slapped Edwards, thats looks bad, he slaps hilary, because i think he suspects she didnt want them to win in 2004 because then Hilary had no 2008 shot.

Thats why he chose Obama, i think its more a feck you endorsement to the other 2 rather than a real endorsement.

Both of us know that is nothing but wishful thinking on your part. Sorry, but you are better off screaming "Serenity now!!!"

8. I don't have 'distaste' for JK over 04, but this endorsement does come off to me
as petty and meanspirited.

I've given cash to JK, and I wrote and told him how I felt about this.

It won't hurt Obama at all, but it won't help him much, I don't think. It won't help JK either, I suspect.

41. Well, I'm not seeing it amongst JK contributors who have been with him since Lowell,
to be precise about it.

Those are "long term" supporters.

10. Yeah, it really sounds like you read the speech. He was dissin' EVERYBODY
Actually, if you know his character, Kerry is not the backstabbing type at all - but rather the thinker/orator. Similar to Obama.
It is obvious that this is a match based on similarities.

You or I may disagree with his choice, but it at least seems organic and makes sense.
When looked at objectively, at least.

Of course you DID read or listen, right?

14. "she didnt want them to win in 2004 " - Clearly. Hillary had promised NY
that if they elected her senator she would use the seat to run in 2004. Therefore, no run in 2004. With the senate seat now secure, she runs in 2008. Predictable. Dem leadership has been wanting Hillary to be president.

How dare Gore endorse anyone before one vote had been cast!?

29. I see; I was thinking he meant the current election.
That makes sense, I hadn't found this place back then.

I suppose if Gore does endorse someone before the nomination this year the server will probably crash under the weight of all the attack posts.
