There is a disturbing and dangerous groupthink in Washington...

For example, if someone says that Iraq has WMDs, the tendency is for everyone to fall in line and follow the most fearful person with the most dire prediction. If someone says that Obama is going to win New Hampshire, then the tendency of everyone to jump on the bandwagon is irresistible. If someone says that John McCain is a "straight-shooter", then it becomes the conventional wisdom in Washington, and by extension of the MSM, the entire nation.

This dangerous groupthink makes it almost impossible for someone within the circle of influence in the Congress and the Senate to disagree with, lest they be ridiculed, as are Dennis Kucinich and Ron Paul, and to a large degree, John Edwards. There is no place for any viewpoint that might disagree with those within the groupthink. The only question that remains is how long before they can get the majority of Americans sucked into their groupthink?

This groupthink will take over again whenever someone gets serious about healthcare reform or raising taxes on the wealthy or stopping the cheap immigrant labor or cutting the Defense budget or numerous other issues that should be addressed. It is a place where independent thought is either insane or illegal. The surge is working.

2. This is what I fear

I want universal, single payer health care from not for profit insurance companies. What I fear we'll have is a requirement to enrich the existing insurance companies, which will continue to practice medicine based on cost analysis, will continue killing people because its more important that the CEO get another million dollars in pay, and will continue to refuse to pay out if you go to certain MDs who won't play their games. It will mean that I will have a choice of either buying food or paying these bloated companies for services I will never get, because I use holistic medicine and go only to MDs I trust.

The people in Washington, by and large, ignore and don't care about us. That's why I wish we could unseat every smug rethuglican there, as well as "independents" like LIEberman.

3. This is my primary concern with Obama..

He will sit down with the insurance companies and we will not get universal healthcare. We will get a continuation of what we now have. It's unrealistic to fight them, Hillary will say. But it's not unrealistic. It is necessary. And it is possible. We make laws by the majority of our elected representatives. The laws have be passed and enforced. Then we will have universal healthcare. That is how we fight the special interests. It is not impossible.

4. Has any non Hillary supporter actually listened to her Q&A

with the people at her appearances? She talks about the Health Care in Detail. She is not the big Pharma. that has been reported, quite the opposite. She will talk about any subject that is brought up and she knows what she's talking about, and still people slam her, take her words out of context and call her names. Most of the people that are calling her names don't even know why they don't like her and they only know name calling. When you hear outlandish quotes from candidates that don't sound right start listening to their speeches and appearances. Not 2second sound bites. The Clintons are for the poor and middle class. Have been and always will be. They grew up as average folk and made it on their own. They each got a wonderful educations and worked to get where they are. Nothing to compare with what we have in office now.
Also she doesn't prance around like a pop star looking for attention as some guys do.

They were told that is the proper thing to do as God-fearing Americans. She doesn't scare me in the least. My concerns lie elsewhere.
