A white woman's view of the democratic campaigns and what they're doing.

Some of these points have been made before on DU. I enjoy the fact that we have several democratic candidates, two of which are minorities,that are:

- for ending the war and pulling our troops out ASAP
- for choice
- for universal healthcare
- for raising taxes on the wealthiest
- for diplomacy first
- for increased college tuition assistance
- for free preK for all

- against the war
- against GWB
- against climate change
- against no child left behind

Let's leave the bickering to the repugs.

Hillary does not belong to a "minority" group; women are a majority.

I've heard it said that there will be no need for affirmative action once we routinely elect 51 female Senators and 12 black Senators. I'm down with that.

4. here are some points to keep in mind

*ending the war means not voting to fund it, pulling out troops does not mean keeping combat operations going untill the next election

*universal healthcare, by most candidates standards is still for profit healthcare, just now everyone has to pay

* raising taxes on the wealthiest, lot of give and take as to who is wealthy and how this will be implemented

*diplomacy does not mean voting for war resolutions before diplomatic ones are resolved

*preK whats that?

*against the war? see above.

*i know their against it but what are they going to do?

*glad at least all of them will get rid of the program, but biden was the only one with a solid education platform

I have little hope for our candidates.
