Color me completely indifferent. Leahy is indignant but ineffective. His spine seems to be for the cameras only. I'm not surprised that he and Obama have found eachother. issued contempt citations for rove and bolton. used his authority as JC chairman to strip immunity for telecoms from the FIAA bill. Authored and sponsored the Habeas Restoration Act. Authored and is sponsor of the War Profiteering Prevention Act. co-authored cluster bomb restriction legislation- and much more. Leahy has done more in ONE year for progressive causes than Edwards did in 6, and in the previous 32 years? Edwards will never get close to attaining the kink of liberal record that Leahy has. He's truly a Johny come lately.
