This is the way the Obama praised Reagan.

Obama never said he wasn't a snake oil salesman


it is true, after Nixon, Ford and Carter people wanted something different and Reagan sold it to them/us.


The praise was for his style and his ability to move the nation in the direction he wanted it to move. Not for moving the nation in the correct direction.

Obama wants to use similar tactics to unite our country to move our country in a different direction than the way it is moving now. Very similar, as long as you ignore that Reagan was moving the nation to the right while Obama will move the nation to the left.

How many were ready to lose their lifelong investments and retirements?

How many Mentally ill were ready to be thrown out in the streets?

How many were ready for our nation to trade arms in the Iran Contra affair?

How many in this country were ready for drugs to flood our neighborhoods by evil men who were so sunny and optimistic?

How many in this country were ready to see their homes become less valuable?

How many in this country were ready to pay off the debt of some greedy bastards of the optimistic Reagan's friends and cronies in the BCCI?

How many were ready to see this nation go so deep into debt..and cut off so many services for middle class americans?

12. You're leaving out important parts of what he said.
And Obama left out the Reagan legacy in his comments. He was walking a tightrope, hoping he could be viewed as a "not-so-bad-Democrat" by wavering Republicans and independents.
