James Carville right in the middle of things.
Clinton camp appears in top form rolling into today's Nevada vote

PAHRUMP, Nev. -- The golden voice of Sen. Barack Obama filled the airwaves as Nevadans got ready to vote in presidential caucuses Saturday. The charismatic senator has been drawing wildly enthusiastic crowds.

But the ground game of Sen. Hillary Clinton is operating at top form, and "Hillaryland" took on its own hue in the campaign's closing hours. Color it brown, after the Clintons' intense and visibly successful courtship of the Silver State's large Hispanic community.

New polls showed Clinton narrowly ahead. With Ragin' Cajun consultant-turned-pundit James Carville in tow, ex-President Clinton drove out in the desert to this retirement community Friday with a message: Don't believe the good news. "Who will win depends on who wants it the worst," he declared.

2. It's *ALL* about the 'Get Out the Vote' & Hillary's got a great organization

At least the GOTV organization here in NH was amazing. I can't think it'll be any different in NV.

3. Making strategy while not being paid.
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=385&topic_id=83012&mesg_id=83012

"...."If the president said to me, ‘look old pal, we really need you to come on board, he and I and the senator would have that conversation,’” Mr. Carville said. “But I haven’t had a single conversation with anyone in the campaign about coming in and working in a formal way on the campaign.”

Paid or not....Carville schoes Rahm in urging them to make immigration sound out of control, to use it as an issue.

" A December 2007 strategy paper by James Carville, architect of Bill Clinton’s two victories in the 1990s, urges Democratic candidates to show voters that they appreciate the importance of the immigration issue and convey an understanding that “illegal immigration is out of control.”

Yet Hispanics went for that campaign in NV.

I guess most people go along with Carville's views still. And he will help see to it that one of our strongest voices is stilled.

7. Yes, every campaign needs someone to call for the party chairman
to resign right after an election we just won.

Every campaign needs someone to say the chairman is guilty of incompetence right after we had a big win.

I detest him, and since it is very clear he is with the campaign...then my decision is easy.

Oh, I forget, Hillary's folks in Florida fixed it so my vote doesn't matter and they blamed others for it.

Tired, disgusted, and no vote ever for anyone who uses Carville.

10. It shows the kind of leadership we will get with the inevitable.
We don't have a choice. It does not matter.

It shows where our country is going...the Bushes and the Clintons, together again with Carville/Matalin in the middle.

13. Ah yes, the win at all costs thingy
Yep they surely do have that.

Say hello to Harold Ford and the smoke-filled rooms and lobbyists, say good by to the grassroots.

15. 2004 was the lead-in to 2008....placeholders and all. It was done well.
It has been planned this way for years.
