This will be his real test. He looked a little shaken and testy. A leader must know how to lose as well as win. This where Clinton has it over most of the candiates. She has faced more adversity than any of the others and to me she is about as gracious as one can be expected to be after facing the shit she has faced the last 20 or so years.

1. If he blames this loss on racism, he's done for.
He needs to find a different excuse.

57. Obama blames loss on racism:

Obama campaign alleges last-minute negative robo-calls in Nevada

(CNN) — The Obama campaign released a recording Saturday that they said was a last-minute negative robo-call received by a Nevada voter.

The call attacks the Illinois senator and emphasizes his little-used middle name, repeatedly referring to “Barack Hussein Obama.” The Obama campaign posted an mp3 of the call on the Internet. (outside link)

"I'm calling with some important information about Barack Hussein Obama," says the anonymous caller. "Barack Hussein Obama says he doesn't take money from Washington lobbyists or special interest groups, but the record is clear that he does."

The male voice concludes: "You just can't take a chance on Barack Hussein Obama."

it should be Hillary, because she will be more gracious at handling it?

43. So I went to a democratic function on Thursday and
Edited on Sat Jan-19-08 07:15 PM by mahina
listened to Hillary's campaign manager talking about her, and it struck me that her campaign is kind of anti-feminist.

The outstanding female woodworkers I know say, don't call me a woman woodworker, call me a woodworker.
Making a big deal of her gender reads false to me, because if she was really a feminist, she wouldn't even bring it up. The equality I seek for all my sisters is that kind, not this kind of strategic hyping of gender.

Barack doesn't go on and on about being black, he just is an excellent candidate.

Anyway, aloha FC.

55. They are waiting until she "wins" the election, puts forth her
National Health Care policy, publicizes the mandates, and abolishes Medicare, thus having retired seniors pay for their own health care, if with nothing else, their Social Security income. She's a Republican's dream come true when it comes to entitlements. I don't trust the woman.

In all candor, she has not stated she will eradicate Medicare, but she chronically talks about reforming it, and will not be specific. She has also said Social Security must be addressed, and she is putting everything on the table. Again, she will not be specific. My gut tells me if Hillary is elected, our so-called "entitlement" programs, as the Republicans like to term them, never mind some of us have paid taxes on these "entitlement" programs 30 and 40 years, will become a thing of the past, and the poor among us, who cannot afford health care, will get a rude awakening.

6. Well, he'd better buck up. It's the difference of a single delegate.
I am not near a tv with US coverage, so I'll have to wait or find the images on the net.

His spinmeisters should get to work and point out the closeness of the vote. He should be gentlemanly, calm, poised and anything BUT 'testy.' 'Testy' doesn't cut it (FWIW, Romney has a real 'testy' problem--it's worse than McCain's--he's more of a 'loose cannon' than testy!!).

Clinton does have the advantage when she doesn't prevail, because what you say is true--she does know how to take a massive punch and come back swinging.
