other two. But it is nice to hear it from others and so nicely put.

19. He always has, the previous debates were structured
to minimize or dilute his response time and didn't allow for the fuller expression of his positions.

and so far no appearance from Edwards. He is being airbrushed out again. They cut him out completely.

32. Yep. Wrote that earlier. They said they'd play about 45 minutes of the debate
in various clips, and by the time they finish, they will declare one of these "two" candidates the winner

And he did great.

I thought Hillary and Barack were pretty good, too, but it got a little smeary. Edwards, though, was on message and generally stayed above the fray. Somebody downthread said he was the "grown up" and I think that sums it up well.

21. I'm certainly biased for The Carolinian, but must confess that I'm glad
it was our candidates up there in the lights in that pressure cooker and not myself. Any of the three of them would kick my butt through 10 time zones and not break a sweat.

Which bodes nicely for the blue team in November. This fall's debates are extremely likely to feature one of these three top contendeers against the Pukes.

I don't see any of the Republican potential noms having a prayer in hell against our people.

24. I think he took the gloves off finally and went after both of them.
Although it seemed like he and Clinton were at times ganging up on Obama - I thought they picked a bad time/location to do that, but I suppose they didn't have a choice. I definitely noticed Edwards moving closer to Clinton. Not sure exactly why. Maybe he thinks she is the person he has the best shot at in a 2-person race, or maybe he thinks she might win and wants to be the VP choice - maybe both. It was very noticeable though.

He kept driving issues that really matter while Obama & Clinton got down on the mat and wrestled (at least in the first part)

31. The first part was all his
And they "are" talking about him tonight on CNN, not as much as the other two, but they are putting him "in" the race.

The second half was Obama and Clinton, and they did much better than the first half. But I do think Edwards was the real winner.

Not that it matters much anymore, but all this while I've just been very, very unconvinced by his speeches. Tonight, he completely sold me on his sincerity.

I like when they fight though. Then real things get discussed instead of the usual scripted one-liners.
