So is most of America. Do you want to trash everyones beliefs and how they came to that decision?

2. I'm not a Christian (Agnostic!) but I'm cool with Obama's outreach to Christians
I do see the value in the basic tenets of Christianity...love ones neighbor and all that (including GLBTs!). I just wish that Christians were more Christ like.

4. Their character has nothing to do with the truth or falsehood of their beliefs.
Beliefs should stand on their own, regardless of who holds them. But if you don't have objective evidence, I suppose you have to scramble for any fig leaf you can find, to keep those beliefs from being scrutinized.

Would you like me to list names of Christians who did evil things? Oh wait, those weren't (altogether now!) "true Christians." :eyes:

6. There was once a time when most everyone thought the world was flat.
Life goes on. Hopefully, most of us evolve.

Religion is dangerous and divisive. It's time humanity ditched it.

7. This is a personal matter. People look pretentious & false who wear their religion on their sleeve.
Edited on Tue Jan-22-08 02:04 AM by avaistheone1
It would be better to witness peoples' religion with the generosity and grace with which they live their lives, rather than witness people using religion to pander for votes.

Now MLK is another matter. He was a preacher. So let the preacher man preach.

And the politicians do their politics. Mixing the two makes poor bed fellows.

9. I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. Must not be important, if you can't bother to
make your post understandable.
