Last night's Clinton/Obama food fight was a disgraceful embarrassment
They both should be ashamed of themselves for degrading themselves and the party in the process. The fucking world is going to hell in a handbasket and the two "front-runners" of the only political party with any reasonable chance to stop the madness act like a couple of smart-aleck adolescents playing a game of "I know you are but what am I?" And anyone here who lines up behind either of them in this pettiness shares in the disgrace.:puke:

2. And, yet, a lot of people on DU loved it and thought it was the best debate yet.
Personally, I don't think it helps us much for our candidates to partake in obnoxious bickering.

5. I am one of them. It was good to see how the candidates perform under pressure.
You see who keeps their cool, who doesn't. Who can think on their feet, and who can't.

I don't think Vladimir Putin is going to play softball with our next president to avoid hurt feelings. I want a tough president who knows how to think and how to hit back. These debates are instructive in that regard.

7. Ok, I'll buy that, to a degree.
It does demonstrate who can handle it and who can't, but I'm not sure we needed the three minutes of yelling over each other that often seemed to follow.

13. I agree... the candidates did well... the debate was passionate and sincere, reasoned and direct...
...all the interchanges were of substantive issues and the attacks seemed legitimate parsings of policy stances (though some did seem to really be reaching). Some of the questions asked by CNN were ridiculous but CNN is staffed by children so my expectations were low to begin with... All in all, America has three fine candidates to choose from... though I'm voting for Dennis Kucinich.

3. The election is about THEM not about us
we are merely observers to their destiny

Did you think we were important?

8. Debates in this format are supposed to be divisive and argumentive...they all did well
Right wingers ..always on the lookout for bad shit...see it as that

thats because they have nothing else..the Pub Guys are faltering off like leaves on a tree

and they will fail at their white house bid because they have very little to offer,,other than empty language...moot crap...

they make themselves look good by bad mouthing others....typical of their type....

What is the matter with candidates calling each other out? Tensions are high. It is an amazing struggle.
Why should that be suppressed. I actually liked the way all three candidates debated with passion and verve.
Nothing bad about that.

17. ....

John Edwards took the crown. He was passionate, on point, and OWNED that stage. He earned the accolades and the WINNER tag.

Guess these debates are only fun when one's favorite fellow doesn't come in last!

16. I thought it was good.
I want to know what the President will be like going toe to toe with world leaders.

I want someone like Joe Biden who called Milosevic a war criminal to his face, and I was glad to see the gloves come off last night. This is politics, yes, and there may be protocol or whatever, but it's REAL LIFE and OUR FUTURE at stake.

I've ever seen. It's the kind of debate that gets the juices flowing, increases the heart rate and makes you tingle all over!

Guess I'm a disgrace then! Bwahahahahahahahahahaha!
