Hillary meets Edwards behind closed doors in his green room after debate
Offstage Action at Dem. Debate?
By Shailagh Murray
http://blog.washingtonpost.com/the-trail/2008/01/22/offstage_action_at_dem_debate.html

The nasty spat between Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama last night sure created fireworks, but after the debate attention turned to an offstage encounter, between Clinton and former senator John Edwards.

According to eyewitnesses, they both walked out of their green rooms after the debate and agreed to talk, then went behind closed doors in Edwards's green room.

Clinton left 20 minutes later. No word on the subject matter, but as Edwards struggles in the polls with no wins to date, his post-campaign strategy is surely in the air.

"They were catching up, as they tend to do at the events, and probably discussing the evenhanded media coverage of the race," quipped Edwards spokesman Eric Schultz.

2. I watched the debate last night and saw no nasty spat
Finally they all grew balls. It was a good, spirited debate.

12. Hillary is not the Virgin Mary, who in reality was a sexual being
as is Hillary and all other men and women that have ever lived on this planet.

You are the one that is sexist much like the Catholic Church is.

13. It's sexist to attribute a very ordinary activity among candidates to sex because
a woman is involved.

and women working professionally together.

And now that I think of it, going back to the Terri Schiavo scandal you seem to have a bit of a problem with projecting affairs onto other people.

Now it's beginning to make sense, in a sad sort of way.

11. See the poll on CNN
Edwards is way ahead but Obama and Clinton keep closing him out of the debate. Edwards has reason to be put out about it. It's not a good image for the party either since they were bickering.

15. What's wrong with the picture is that it's a click "poll," and utterly meaingless
John Edwards is therefore not "way ahead."

I happen to agree that he's been treated with gross unfairness by the media, but when grasping at straws, make sure that they're at least real straws.

20. If you like, you may call it grasping at straws...
I just posted the results of the poll the previous poster cited. I'm a realist and know that Edwards faces an uphill battle, but I am not giving up. Besides, right now, and from the begining, I'm sure you can admit that Edwards media coverage has been somewhat lacking. So even though it was a "click poll" it at least shows, that when given a chance, Edwards can get his message out. Besides, remember the "real pollsters" numbers before NH? They were really right on, weren't they? Were THEY "real" straws? So if you don't mind, I'll wait for the only poll that counts, the VOTES!! And I will also say one other thing, when the time comes I will fully support our party's nominee, whoever that may be, I don't know what your position on that is, but it is strictly your own business.

at least try something without the smell of Drudge lingering around it.

Sheez, does everyone actually NOT get the difference between substantiated fact/truth and rumor?

If not, the internet will F us all.
