A non-DK Supporter's Dennis Kucinich Appreciation Thread
Edited on Thu Jan-24-08 04:57 PM by Kurt_and_Hunter
I've never been a Kucinich supporter in practical terms, but I have always appreciated his role in the race.

If he is withdrawing, then we no longer have a serious 100% anti-war candidate, or a same-sex marriage advocate.

And those are the views of a decent sized chunk of the Party.

So he will be missed. It's a melancholy day for us all.

1. Agreed. My problem with him was never his positions.
Edited on Thu Jan-24-08 04:46 PM by Heaven and Earth
My hope is that in the future, our senators and governors will sound like him. It's up to us to make that happen. The progressive movement leads, our politicians follow, and that's how it should be in a democracy.

2. My sympathies to his supporters
I've never supported a winner in my life - I know what it's like.

He's a good guy. I hope his House race goes well.

23. Thanks, my friend! And I agree!
Dennis has been my candidate since 2003 and Bill Clinton was the first presidential candidate who I ever voted for who won...:-(

7. DK still fighting for us

Dennis is like the energizer bunny always working for justice. I have much respect for his views and actions, especially pushing impeachment of the criminals and right now trying to expose the crooked voting machines in N.H.

A tip of the hat and much continued respect from this Edwards supporter.

I have said it before, and will say it again: Dennis Kucinich represents THE best in democratic and progressive ideals.

Hold your head high, you conducted yourself with great integrity.

11. My personal best wishes to Dennis and Elizabeth
Whom I met at the California State Democratic Convention early in 2007. Wonderfully gracious and intelligent. By far the most consistently progressive and original-thinking candidate for President in recent memory. Keep fighting the good fight, Dennis, regardless of your role. We can always depend on you.

12. I was a hardcore supporter in '04.
I was a less dedicated supporter until just recently... I saw this coming, but it's still very sad.

On a more positive note, I'm damn glad he's still fighting for us... and for impeachment.

15. Kucinich is a true believer
Not too many around and they make the rest of the field talk to the issues that are important but not getting the play they deserve. He'll be missed.

17. His Congressional web page...
has links to bowling, polka and kielbasa.

I double-dog dare you to not love this guy. And speaking as a Cheesehead -- I'd take Dennis as my congressman over Jim Sensenbrenner any day.

If you're ever looking to make a move, Dennis, we've got some darned fine sausage here in Milwaukee. And a polka station on the radio!

19. He has the best interests of all America as a basis for his platform
and I sincerly believe his ideas will be welcomed down the road.

I admire his honesty, his tenacity, his courage, and his wisdom.

He would be the best President of all the choices.

Unfortunately, I don't believe the public, or the 'powers that be' would ever let him become president.

And that is everyones loss.

Thank you Dennis-
And thank you to all his supporters.

:grouphug:

peace~
