That's so simplistic. I come from an, er, well to do family and my dad was as staunch a liberal democrat as you could find. I remember him repeatedly talking about how the most dangerous problem in American society was the gap between rich and poor- and that was 30 years ago. My parents were early and strong supporters of Jimmy Carter.

It is not about rich v poor. It's about making our society a more equitable one and providing opportunities for those who most need them.

23. I have to differ on this one. The working poor are too busy trying to survive day to day

to fight with anybody. Clean up hotel rooms all day or work in the fields & see how much fight you have left. The rich try their best not to even think about the poor, no fight there. The class divide is sharp, but where is the discontent? There isn't even a whisper of revolt in this country, unless I've missed it.

I worked for a family of billionaire Democrats. Sure, they supported all the liberal candidates, but you wouldn't know it by the way they treated "the help". Class warfare all the way.
