Clinton chairman: Obama would be good running mate
http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2008/02/04/clinton-chairman-obama-would-be-good-running-mate/

Appearing on NY1's "Inside City Hall," Clinton Campaign Chairman Terry McAuliffe praised Barack Obama’s ability to “excite people,” adding that Clinton “needs to make sure the next, whoever the next vice president is, could take over if anything happened to her” — though he said it was too early to seriously discuss potential vice presidential picks.

When he was asked directly whether adding Obama to a Clinton ticket would be a good idea, he responded: “Sure it would. Absolutely. How could you deny consideration of someone who has excited so many people?”...

ummm- isn't shillary's main point about why SHE should get the job is because she would be ready on "day 1"?
and doesn't this kind of skewer that point?

7. I met Terry M
Terry represents everything that is wrong with protecting your interests. For him it's all about a power grab, and not about serving the people.

And who wouldn't want Obama on their ticket considering that he's generating absolutely massive online donations and has thousands to show up at every campaign stop? Jeez, who wouldn't want the Democratic frontrunner on their ticket?

6. No. He was acknowledging that Obama would be a good VP choice.
But that shes better for the top job. Which is what he should be saying.

8. Nice spin... its Obama-Clinton not the other way around!
They sure are pulling out all the stop to try and bleed support from obama... Obama has to be at the top of that ticket to win the argument with McCan't about Iraq and keep all the independents and republicans voting democrat on that ticket. If it is Clinton-Obama we don't get the upperhand on the arguments.
