Is Kerry using the slogan, "Give 'em hell, Kerry!"?
If not, could someone with ties to the campaign pass along this idea for signs, banners, etc.? Kerry rhymes with Harry, of course, and the phrase evokes that man of the people Truman, and connects John Kerry, and all Democrats, to him. It also evokes the anti-populist party Truman was running against, with Dewey as the candidate. Truman was before my time, but older voters vote, and maybe some younger voters have studied enough history, to respond to this rallying call.

1. Hairi Kerry?
I don't think it fits the Senator from Massachusetts very well.

7. Kerry's been letting loose some fire and brimstone lately....
He wasn't my first choice either, but I'm all for him winning now -- and I think "Give 'em hell" might help counter the elitist image some have of him. Your guy, Dean, of course, gave 'em hell, and gave it to 'em first. I'm a fan, too.

8. It'll just make him look silly.
His problem is that he really never gave anyone hell, and well he is somewhat elitist.

2. KER and HAR do not rhyme, lol...
If anyone were to use the "Give 'Em Hell!" nickname, it would've been Howard or DK.

Later.

6. As a man who was raised in Independence, Mo., and whose father
personally knew Harry Truman, and also as someone who was married in the chambers of Truman's district courtroom in Jackson County,Mo., I would like for the Kerry team to come up with something more original.

9. Some from DU sent me two bumper stickers
with "Give 'em hell, Howard!" a couple of months ago. So, yes, he's been using it.

4. Where did "bring it on" come from?
I see Kerry saying that quite often.

5. Bush told the insurgents to "bring it on."
Kerry is mocking him.
