****IT'S THE DELEGATES PEOPLE!!!****
Edited on Tue Feb-05-08 09:26 PM by Kittycat
It's about delegates, not states - let's keep that in mind. It's going to be a long night for all of us. How about we calm down on the "in your face" crap, and just be civil for a few hours until results become firm.

ETA: This goes for all sides.

1. Thank you! I really wish people would understand that. If O is within
25 to 50 it was a very very good night for Obama.

2. It's about delegates, states, AND the popular vote. It's about MOMENTUM.
It's not any ONE THING.

6. Or is it really all about the Super Delegates?
They seem to have the power to overrule the people's vote which angers me to no end.

Why bother voting?

7. Mmm, total delegates: 2,025
Superdelegates: 299

That's 14% of the vote to the superdelegates. Not sure how they "have the power to overrule the people's vote"

8. I thought there were well over 700 super delegates.

10. Voters don’t choose the 842 unpledged “super-delegates”
who comprise nearly 40 percent of the number of delegates needed to clinch the Democratic nomination.

In my mind it is still dangerous that there are so many of the superdelegates, and that they could swing the vote away from how the people have voted.
