72. I actually agree with her view. She felt that, because she has a following--and she DOES have a
following--that it would be UNFAIR and UNKIND for her to push her choice on an electorate that clearly had TWO VIEWS on this matter.

She pledged, without revealing who she voted for personally, to follow the lead of her constituents--to DO THEIR WILL, to represent THEM, as she was elected to do.

I thought it was a rather classy approach. I think Senators Kennedy and Kerry should have done likewise, frankly!

But if the posters are correct that she indicated she would endorse the winner of her state, I can understand. She is simply standing by the choice of her constituents, something more of our elected officials should do from time to time.

73. Well, the Clintons helped Kerry--Bill got out of a sickbed after HEART surgery--
and look how Kerry repaid him?

It's politics. Boxer said she'd vote with the majority of her constituents. And she said it BEFORE the voting even started. Why is that so hard to wrap your head around?

It's always easier to toss a DIG than actually look into the reality of what was said and promised, isn't it?

78. Hey, I'm just pointing out that Boxer was being straight up and honest with her
constituents. It was a classy thing to do. IMO.

I find it interesting that Clinton can back Kerry, and it's 'OK' for Kerry to crap on them and support Hillary's opponent, but if Obama does a fundraiser for Boxer, it's NOT OK for her to put her constituency ahead of him?

What's the difference?

It's POLITICS. That's all it is.

She voted against the IWR sponsored by Joseph Lieberman and against Kyl-Lieberman and she has consistently opposed the war and the funding of it.

Not gonna do it.
