It is looking like Edwards' Delegates & Endorsement Will Be Important...
In a race this tight, every delegate vote will be precious.

Edwards is still in a position to 'boost' either candidate with his endorsement and delegates won. That should give him some leverage to make sure his core issues are included in the Party's Platform, and that they get the coverage they deserve.

Certainly looks like Edwards' decision not to endorse a candidate before Super Tuesday was a wise one.

1. Too late. He had a chance to do it and decided not to.
He could have got credit for all the Edwards people who swung to Obama but now he wont.

2. Yeah, and that and a buck would have gotten him a cup of coffee. His delegates
will be important if he can influence who they go to.

But I am sure that Edwards hasn't heard about it.:eyes:

7. It is the standard story that has been in his stump speech since Nevada about the
debate question re what is your worst trait or fault(paraphrasing). Sometimes he still tells that story although he certainly doesn't all the time from what I've seen watching his rallies on C-span.

8. It makes sense for Edwards to insist that BOTH Candidates highlight poverty now if they want ...
His won delegates and endorsement later.

Edwards is serious about the issues he has forced onto the table for discussion and action. IMHO he is trying his best to make sure the poor and working class do not get left out of the agenda for action once the next Democratic President is sworn into office.

9. Highlighting poverty might not appeal to the upper class that is voting for Barack.
Reviewing the income demographics shows that Hillary gets support from the working class. I don't know, someone who studies this issue can help me, but the higher one goes up the income ladder, are they less or more predisposed to care about people who are barely making it?

It's been my experience that the greater the income level, the less "in touch" with the economic realities of those who are barely getting by. That's why bush appealed to the "haves" and "have more" base. He knew their support and contributions were more valuable than the ones who could barely afford $10 or $30.

The economy is faltering. It will be a big issue, I believe.

12. Stop taking everything so personally. I was asking for an objective analysis.
So set your personal kneejerk anecdote aside and please provide an insightful analysis of why the demographics which show Barack garnering a lot more support from high-income voters will or will not factor into Edwards' endorsing Barack in the belief that it will help those in poverty.

Thank you.
