Obama got 40% of the white vote in GA ?
I heard a talking head on TV say that this morning. He said that was on par with the rest of the nation. If true, what does that say about our presumptions on Southern voters? It's true that the Republicans voted for Huckabee, but a much smaller group.

3. Whites over 60 - 32%; Whites 18-29 - 56%
There's a clear correlation of age and % of whites voting for Obama, with more votes by younger white voters.

4. Of course, just because the others voted for Hillary....
does not mean they are racist.

6. It doesn't mean they're not racist.
And many undoubtedly are racist.

9. It's difficult to prove a negative.
Maybe they are racist and maybe not. Some people have legitimate reasons to vote for Hillary over Obama and I don't think it has anything to do with race.

5. the younger the voter, the greater the vote for Obama
the older, the reverse

Anyone who attended segregated public schools is much less likely to vote for Obama. People who came along afterwards are not nearly as hung up about voting for blacks. You could plot it on a chart. The older they get, the less likely they are to vote for Obama. The younger, the more likely.
