Why I Refuse to Call Obama the Nominee
Despite the fact that Hillary Clinton has an uphill mountain to climb...she's not out of it yet. Don't follow the MSM on this who have been dead wrong more than once this election cycle. I'm not going to call Obama the nominee until after March 4. But I wouldn't be surprised if Hillary Clinton pulled a major upset in TX and OH and kept this going even longer. This is why you can't trust the media...because they want it to be over.

If Clinton doesn't win both TX and OH by sweeping margins...I'd say she's likely done. People within the Party would begin to try to persuade her to drop out, but I doubt she will (but she'd still be done). She'll start using that Mike Huckabee line of Obama not having the 2,000+ delegates needed to be the OFFICIAL nominee. If Obama continues to win after March 4, Michigan and Florida become moot and it won't matter if they're seated or not because she wouldn't be beating him amoung pledged delegates and I find it VERY hard to believe the Supers don't go for the candidate with the most pledged delegates.

The reason I'm skeptical though is because Clinton is looking very strong with a double-digit lead according to the lastest SUSA poll out of Ohio. SUSA has been pretty consistent since Super Tuesday so Obama has some serious ground to make up there...but he has time. It hasn't been posted a lot by Clinton supporters because frankly they're probably feeling real down right now...looking at her chances here on out. Obama cut into her base all across the Chesepeake Primary and if that holds...it's not a very good sign for her going forward. I haven't seen any new Texas numbers, but Pennsylvania demographically is similiar to Maryland and Virginia...so you have to begin to wonder how strong of a base Hillary has there and whether MD and Virginia aren't a bellweather for things to come.

Just my 2 cents. Like I said though, yes Obama can fairly be called the frontrunner...but it's not over. And people are forgetting about the 2 debates to still be held that could land Clinton some positive media coverage if she starts attacking Obama.

3. Let's not "misunderestimate" Hillary
Don't forget the wise words of Don Rumsfeld: "The dead-enders are still with us, those remnants of the defeated regime who'll go on fighting long after their cause is lost."

9. 3 weeks of momentum and 10 consecutive victories makes for a far different situtaion than Iowa/NH
Indeed it's still anybody's race, but if I was a betting woman (which i am not) the obstacles simply may be too much to overcome.

Hillary has until TX and Ohio to prove her mettle. Nobody is arguing that, but at this point the people have spoken, have voted, and we're seeing a situation whereby it is very difficult for Hillary to mathematically win.

No it's not over, but it's getting very close.

11. I'm a staunch Obama supporter, but I definitely
agree. There's not that much of a gap between their delegate numbers, and a lot of important states have yet to vote. Frankly, no one should be called the nominee until the convention and until they're officially nominated.
