i, too, like many on this board are watching the primarty returns come in with anticipation. i've promised myself to vote for either nominee in the general election, as well.
however, looking at both candidates nightly, i'm reminded how our priorities as a party have shifted from building a sufficient working class towards pleasing business interests first. it saddens me to know that the 'new deal' was aimed at improving EVERYONE'S economic position. i can't say the same for the new bankruptcy law supported by too many in my party. i understand that both hillary and obama will make history by becoming our party's representative in the general election. but that doesn't make either less offensive to my populist economic opinions. fyi, i say this as a successful business owner who studies economic indicators with regularity. the result? more people have less money, not credit, money, to maintain their households.
i ask both camps to remember this when they are posting about "hope" and "uniting" as well as "experience" and "battle tested." (and don't EVEN get me started on our congressional leaders who were given control of congress to: 1. impeach 2. end the war 3. bring energy costs down.)
