Remember when Hillary told voters she didn't need their vote?
Edited on Wed Feb-13-08 06:09 PM by elizm
It was a year ago this month when Hillary was refusing to apologize for her Iraq war vote. At a town hall meeting she was pressed on the issue by someone in the audience and replied...

“If the most important thing to any of you is choosing someone who did not cast that vote or who has said his vote was a mistake, then there are others to choose from.”

http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2007/02/17/clinton-tries-new-approach-on-iraq-vote/

That was her first mistake, IMO.

edited to add link for the naysayer

1. No. Because that isn't what she said. But how ADORABLE of you to
try to make it seem like that is what she said, so that you could gloat like a five year old with all the M and M's!!!

28. Not the subject line, the message section. Are you dull of comprehension?
Actually, you don't have to respond. I already know the answer.

Keep working hard now, supressing the Democratic vote in November!!!!

You're doing a GREAT job of ensuring that Clinton supporters just might forget to vote in November!!

32. Are you working for McCain, too?
I'm shocked at how many McCainiacs there seem to be here, wiping their smug asses on the Clinton supporters, smugly flinging crap, and doing everything they can to incline Clinton voters to ... sleep late, stay home, go on vacation....on election day in November.

I certainly don't want to be associated with a group as meanspirited and frankly, stupid, as some of the miserable bastards I've seen here, so if the goal is to suppress the Democratic vote, it's working.

Anyone who has to be "vicious in victory" like some of the "supporters" (I won't say cultists, because that upsets them) certainly hasn't been listening to any Hope or Change messages for comprehension....unless they think it's all about HOPING to kick ass and CHANGING Clinton supporters into stay-at-home voters, or some such.

Keep up the great work. John McCain is incredibly pleased with your service to him!!!!

Psst--here is a clue for you--the quote doesn't match the subject line. That's the point that sailed so nicely over your head.

Because of all the independents and Republicans that will vote for Obama?

Did I say Obama? No. I said Obama's supporters, and if you think that hasn't been said around here, do a quick search and find your own goddamn link. Hundreds of times.

Sorry I'm not drinking your fucking Kool-Aid. People like you are the PROBLEM.

Edited on Wed Feb-13-08 06:30 PM by elizm
I'm thinking YOU are the one who has the reading comprehension problem, along with an anger issue I might add. You have no way to defend her stupid statement so you go after Obama supporters here on the board out of desperation. Pretty pathetic. And oh, by the way, I didn't offer you any of my koolaid. :)

17. With that comment, Hillary lost ALL chance of receiving my vote.
Period. It went to zero. I vowed there that she was finished in my mind. And on Feb. 5th I did in fact vote against her for Obama, in a precinct that voted over 86% for Obama and a state that voted 2 to 1 for him. I kicked her ass for that comment and am very proud.

She must be punished for that. She must lose. It's the only way to show that you can't say crap like that without consequences.

23. I am going to post the quote because
Edited on Wed Feb-13-08 09:13 PM by cbayer
I AM SICK OF PEOPLE GOING OFF ON OP TITLES!!!!!!

“I take responsibility for my vote,” Senator Clinton replied. “And it was a sincere vote based on the facts and assurances that we had at the time. Obviously, I would not vote that way again if we knew then what we know now. But I have to say that, if the most important thing to any of you is choosing someone who did not cast that vote or who has said his vote was a mistake, then there are others to choose from.

“But to me, the most important thing now is trying to
end this war,” she said, drawing strong applause from the audience.

Please! Needs to be punished? Needs to lose? Kick her ass? Are you kidding me?

Thanks! Choosing someone who didn't vote for the war, or at least had the decency to apologize for having done so actually IS my top priority!
