BREAKING: NY Times clarifies McCain/Iseman article.

In hindsight, we concede that the article’s main point was obscured by the allegations of a “romantic relationship” between Iseman, a Washington Lobbyist, and Senator John McCain.

The term “inappropriate relationship”, in our eyes, would better describe the relationship between the Senator and the lobbyist. Considering the position staked out by Senator McCain, it would have been the most responsible method of describing what we were reporting from our sources. In the words of my editor, “You can’t prove that McCain was boinking this lady, but you can prove that he was boinking the rest of the country”.
